Chris Brandolino has a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and twenty-two years of professional experience. 

 

He has spent the past five years with NIWA as the Principle Scientist - Forecasting and currently leads NIWA's Forecasting Services Team. 

 

Prior to that he worked as a TV Meteorologist for sixteen years, an Operational Meteorologist for the Australian Bureau of Meteorology in Perth for two years, and as an adjunct instructor at the State University of New York for four years. ​​
